DESCRIPTION:Bowie’s Memorial Hammer-In will be held in Unicoi\, TN\, and sponsored by the State of Franklin Blacksmith’s Guild in association with the Appalachian Area Chapter of Blacksmiths. Numerous hotels available as well. \nThe format is a series of demonstrations of any and all aspects of bladesmithing\, from history to technique to whatever. One demo at a time\, with the possibility of continuing off to the side if it’s something tedious like engraving or drawfiling that not everyone will be interested in. \nThis is an Iron-in-the-Hat supported event! Admission is free\, but in the spirit of Bowie’s old hammer-in in Knoxville\, please donate generously to the Iron in the Hat. We need your support to make this an annual event. The State of Franklin Blacksmith’s guild is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible!
