Virginia
HB 2298 that would remove switchblades from the list of weapons that cannot be carried concealed in the state has passed the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously. Unfortunately, the bill was amended to add “stiletto” (undefined) to the list of items that cannot be carried concealed.
The bill now moves to the full Senate. We will be working with our friends in Virginia, including Virginia Citizens Defense League, to hopefully remove “stiletto” from the bill during the floor vote or, if passed, when it goes to conference.
Knife Rights will let you know as soon as it is appropriate to contact your Senator on HB 2298.
