Civivi is rolling out a pair of new models. First up is the Asticus, a new, large flipper knife; it is joined by a small EDC fixed blade that was first teased last year.
The Asticus is an in-house design, drawn up to be the sort of large EDC standards that We Knife Co. heavily emphasized when they first appeared on the scene. Its drop point blade is 3.8 inches long, one of the longest blade lengths in the Civivi lineup at this point. Civivi gave that blade a massive swedge, satin finish, and hard-working D2 steel. The only opening method is the ball bearing-powered flipper tab.
Most of the “sub-premium” lines from the Chinese manufacturers (WE’s Civivi, Kizer’s Tangram, and Artisan’s CJRB lines) are all pretty solid knives in their own right.View Linked Article
