Today, Toor Knives, a leading American knife maker, is proud to announce the release of the JD35S, a jump/dive variant of their best-selling Krypteia, which has a proven track record of versatility and protection.
The JD35S features over one inch of serrations for cutaway and a corrosion-resistant coating for maritime operations. Whether tucked into the gear of a modern-day operator, or tagging along for a weekend adventure, this knife provides both peace of mind and functionality to the user.
“We felt strongly about taking another step forward with the Krypteia, which has been a key heritage style for us”, said Connor Toor, CEO of Toor Knives. “Providing our customers with a jump/dive variant was the next logical step and the structural integrity of the Krypteia ensures the JD35S is going to be able to tackle the task at hand.”, concluded Toor.
Designed, developed and manufactured entirely in Toor’s East County San Diego, CA facility, the JD35S is constructed of CPM s35vn steel, which has a hardness of approximately 59-61 Rockwell, and each blade includes a low profile FlexTech KYDEX® sheath. Additionally, it’s fitted with a textured G10 handle and includes a thumb ramp with jimping for reverse drawing, as well as a lanyard hole for retention cords.
This knife earned its name due to the sheath’s compatibility with a tactical strap kit, which will be sold separately. These CORDURA® and elastic straps with buckles allow the KYDEX® sheath to be mounted to the leg while jumping or diving.
The JD35S will be available on April 23rd, 2021 on www.toorknives.com and at authorized Toor Knives dealers.
