SUMMARY:2026 Mid America Blade Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Be sure to add it to your calendar. The ABS Mid America Blade Symposium\, Super Hammer-in is returning August 28\, 29\, and 30\, 2026 at the Miami County Fair grounds in Troy Ohio\, with a greeting and dinner on Thursday the 27h. Brought to you in cooperation with the Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil group. \nThe Mid-America Hammer-In is the American Bladesmith Society’s largest Event. Very centrally located in the Midwest United States it continues to grow and offer unparalleled access to information for beginners to advanced smiths. Master & Journeyman Judging will be done on Friday\, August 28\, 2026. \nHosted by the Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil Blacksmith Association\, the facilities are second to none at the Miami County Fairgrounds in Troy\, Ohio. Demonstrations are held in several well-equipped areas just foot steps away from each other. there will be live music on Saturday night. These additions with the on site camping also makes this Hammer-in the social event of the year. \nOur lineup of demonstrators this year is impressive\, with ABS Master Smiths and other experts in their fields that you have probably always wanted to meet. The weekend will include learning opportunities for fledgling forgers to Master Bladesmiths\, and its own knife show. \nTo register\, please go to the store tab and choose “events”. On line registration will close August 17\, 2026\, after that feel free to register at the door\, we have plenty of room and all are welcome.  \nLINE UP OF DEMONSTRATORS TO BE ANNOUNCED. \nThere will be vendors and tailgate sales per our usual.
