Greeatings and Salutations! Welcome to the new KnifeMagazine.com.
If you are reading this, you either are someone whom we have asked to take a quick peek at the site and help us work out the final bugs, or you found us by accident (Or by now have received your June issue of the print magazine -HCA).
As you can probably tell, the new site is still a bit rough around the edges, we are not planning a formal launch announcement until later this week. We have been bringing collectors, makers, and other knife enthusiasts the most respected knife industry print publication for more than 40 years, so we want to make sure we have things fully in order (or nearasdamnit anyway – we will be adding more content constantly) before ringing the bell and letting folks know we are up and running online.
Since you are here, have a look around and let us know what you think. There is already a bunch of free content up and running, and a post walking folks through the process to become a registered guest, or premium online subscriber will be posted shortly.
Take a look at the Knife Magazine Blog, which is the upper half of the page. It is where you will find Knife Magazine original content, most of it free.
Scroll down and take a look at the Knife Magazine Neverending Newsfeed. And scroll…and scroll… It is going to be a key feature of the new site, and will contain links, news, photos, and other content from all around the knife world. We will be updating it a half-dozen or more times a day, and as you scroll down the the bottom of the page, previous posts will load, and so on and so forth. You can read more about using the newsfeed here.
As we said, we want things to be as polished as we can by the time people start showing up in earnest. It has to be – the June issue of the print magazine arrives in mailboxes in the coming week or two. Since the arrival of the new KnifeMagazine.com is the cover, the die has been cast.
