This company was founded in Little Valley, New York as the Little Valley Knife Association. It was a cutlery jobbing firm.
On November 7, 1903 Crandall Cutlery purchased property in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Later, they opened a factory, and became a manufacturer of cutlery. In 1909, the officers were: Hebert E. Crandall, president and general manager; R.B. Stone, vice president; George H. Mills, treasurer; M.D. Murray, secretary. Some of the other directors were C.G. Fitzgibbons, J.D. Callahan, and Harry Fox.
They made a full line of pocket knives, shears, and straight razors. “Radium Electric” was a finish applied to all the pocket knives to guard against tarnish and rust. The firm became a part of W.R. Case & Sons in 1912.
