ICAST, or International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, is the fishing industry’s version of SHOT Show. I never attended in my guiding days, but the even was on my radar screen each year. Apparently, Benchmade won Best in Category at the recent ICAST 2024 show.
The Benchmade Water Collection has won Best of Category – Cutlery, Hand Plier, or Tool, in the ICAST 2024 New Product Showcase. A new six-knife lineup of dedicated premium fishing knives, the Benchmade Water Collection is made up of two drop-point folders (Adira, Mini Adira), two fixed blades (Intersect, Undercurrent), and two fillet knives (7″ & 9″ Fishcrafter). All six of the blades are made of new CPM-Magnacut steel, this is a well-balanced steel that is incredibly corrosion-resistant but still has the hardness properties to retain an edge even with hard use. The Adira and Mini Adira folders have an MSRP of $250 and $230 and come with grivory handles. The Undercurrent and Intersect fixed blades have an MSRP of $250 and $200 and have Santoprene handles and sheaths. The Fishcrafter fillet knives come in two lengths, 7″ and 9.05″, and have an MSRP of $240 and $260. All six of these knives also come with Benchmade’s LifeSharp Guarantee and limited lifetime warranty, so if anything something happens to the knife or the edge finally does give out Benchmade has you covered for the life of the blade.
