Where else would you find the boss, one of the world’s foremost Bowie experts than the 5th Annual Ron “Bowie” Claiborne Memorial Hammer-in? Especially since it is essentially in our backyard. I am still trying to lock down what time Mark is giving a talk, but I think it is Saturday.
Here is what he wanted me to pass along…
“A really great, laid back event. Among those usually in attendance are bladesmiths Jason Knight, Burt Foster, Bill Wiggins, Alan Longmire, and Warren Thacker. I will be there giving a presentation about Samuel Bell and his historic bowie knives. “
No admission charge, “Iron in the Hat” is Saturday around noon.
Oct. 2-4, starting roughly around 10am each day, lasting till about 4pm. at Farmhouse Gallery & Gardens, 121 Covered Bridge Lane, Unicoi, TN 37692
