H. Clay Aalders is a lifelong edged tool user. He spent the past 20 years as a woodworker and fishing guide in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Tennessee.   1. “Morakniv” makes excellent knives in Sweden. I believe that wholeheartedly. I believe that anybody who has bought a “Mora”, e.g. “Companion”, “Garburg”, “Bushcraft”, “Eldris” et al would attest to this company’s focus on producing a knife that is functional as an EDC or out and about on land or water.
    Well, I bought a “Mora-Bushcraft Survival-Carbon blade” at “1st Cash Pawn” on Wednesday. Not “NIB”. Excellent condition w/the ferro rod and flat diamond sharpener on the sheath. Paid $25 for it. It will ride in the F150 in lieu of the GERBER “Prodigy”.
    At recent knife shows, I sold many of the fixed blade knives in my peddler bag. Sold a bunch of folders, too. It has been a good “knife season” for buying, trading and selling. I have weaned out most of the knives made in the “PRC”. One day, the peddler bag will only contain knives “Made in America” or those made in allied countries.
    “1st Cash Pawn” had a Benchmade “Vector”, (MIB) for $250. It retails for about $325 so I passed on it. I was tempted by a CKRT “Hunt ‘N” Fish” (NIB); But, for all its attributes it is made in the “PRC” (This knife had decorative filing on the spine, mosaic pins and a leather sheath . . . If it was “Made in Taiwan”, then it was a no-brainer for $30!!)
