The path to knifemaking greatness is rarely linear and often latent. Case in point: Liong Mah, who spent 15 years pursuing his love of French cuisine in New York City restaurants.
Crafting artisan knives was more of a side hustle until his first big-time production knife, the fan-favorite CRKT Eraser, got the industry’s attention in the mid-2000s.
