Nearly two years ago, Detroit-based WESN collaborated with Birmingham, England-based P&Co. on a slip-jointed and therefore UK-legal Microblade that sold out in a weekend.
The two brands reunited this past summer to create the Scrimshaw Collection, which honored the craftsmanship of 18th- and 19th-century sailors who carved intricate designs into knife handles made of whalebone and ivory.
I admire the skill required, but scrimshaw has never connected with me.
