This company originated in 1906 as the Kane Cutlery Company. In the same year, the firm was sold to the Case Brothers Cutlery Company. The firm was re-organized in the fall of 1909 again as the Kane Cutlery Company.
The firm was sold in 1914 to H.H. Hollingsworth, and was re-named the Hollingsworth Knife Co. in 1916. It operated under that name until 1930 when the name changed to Albertson Company.
