Carl Schlieper is in Solingen, Germany, and was founded in 1898. Forest Cruse of Austin, Texas began importing “Eye Brand” knives about 1950. Schlieper uses “Eye Brand” for their top line of knives.
Schlieper also made the “El Gallo” and “Jim Bowie,” and “Fan” marked knives for Cruse. They are still in business.
