The Clarkson & Anderson Hardware was first listed in the Richmond, Virginia City Directory in 1856, at 106 Main Street. The address changed in 1860 to between 13th and 14th Streets on Main. This company manufactured “Bowie” type knives, among other kinds of cutlery.
