Bob Cargill, a custom knife maker, began using this marking in 1981. Unusual shaped antique knives were used as patterns in many of his knives. Special limited edition knives have been made for various knife clubs, in addition to his regular line. The knives were made in Lockport Illinois from 1981-1986.
In 1986, the shop was moved to Old Fort, Tennessee. The business was sold in 1993 to BlackJack Knives. In 1995, Cargill regained ownership of Cripple Creek.
