Located at 36 Howard Street, Sheffield, England. In 1876, they became G. Woodhead & Son. They were sold about 1880 to Thomas Ellin & Company Ltd., also of Sheffield. Ellin was taken over by Joseph Elliot & Sons about 1944. Elliot is still in business, and they were using the Woodhead marking as late as 1953. This company manufactured “Bowie” type knives, among other kinds of cutlery.
