HARTFORD CUT. CO. TARIFFVILLE CONN.

This firm was in the village of Tariffville, Connecticut. The building in which the knife company operated had been occupied by several different manufacturers, producing a wide variety of products.

In 1880, the Hartford Cutlery Company utilized the site, but was in operation for a short time when they failed (this was before 1886).

The knife factory utilized the water power of the Farmington River at the gap in the Talcott Mountains at Tariffville.
