W.H. Jackson & Son was in the Baltimore Works, Sheffield, England, and Smith was the New York agent, at 81 John Street. They had been in business by 1841 under the name of Jackson, Son & Stacey. This company manufactured “Bowie” type knives, among other kinds of cutlery.
