Founded in 1932 by Kuno Ritter in Solingen, Germany. Ritter began by making fixed blade knives. In 1950, they purchased the J.A. Schmidt Company, and all of their trademarks, including “Hubertus.”
In 1961, they purchased the Gebruder Grafrath firm. This company is still in business.
