Founded about 1860 by Mr. C.N. Oehm. Mr. Oehm died in 1880, and was succeeded by his son Charles Henry Oehm. A nephew, Charles W. Oehm was later included as a partner, and then it was known as Oehm & Company (prior to 1898). By 1910, Charles W. Oehm had become president. They are listed in the city directory through 1936.
