PAXTON & GALLAGHER & CO. USA

Founded by a Mr. Ben Gallagher in 1864. He was appointed “Government Post Trader” to supply groceries and hardware at Fort McPherson, Nebraska. The trademark “Cut-A-Way” was first used in 1906. The business was sold in 1959. At that time the name was changed to P & G Hardware Company. This firm is still in business.
