R.S. STENTON

R.S. Stenton was a son of W. Stenton, and ran his business in conjunction with W. Stenton & Son, both at the same address. In 1846, he was at 74 Maiden Lane, New York City. Stenton was an agent for F. Fenney’s Tally-Ho razors and cutlery.

By 1857, two stores were operated (1 Platt and 229 Pearl, New York City). They were agents for C.T. Bingham of Sheffield, England after Bingham took over the Fenney firm. This company dealt in “Bowie” type knives, among other kinds of cutlery.
