Cutts had a factory in Southford (a section of Southbury), Connecticut. The factory was on Eight Mile Brook. Cutts was situated in a building originally built about 1825 by Ebenezer Booth as a cabinet shop and turning works. In 1865, W.H. Cretts (original spelling?) made pocket knives in this building. W.H. Cutts is listed from 1866 through 1876 in the Connecticut Business Directory as a “maker of pocket knives.”
