WILSON HAWKSWORTH & ELLISON

This firm was originally Wilson & Hawksworth, beginning in 1825. In 1832, they became Wilson, Hawksworth & Moss. In 1846, the name was Wilson, Hawksworth & Ellison.

They were at 1 Arundel Lane, Sheffield, England until 1864. Sometime after 1864, they moved into the Carlisle Works. They became Kayser, Ellison & Company Ltd. in 1953, still in the Carlisle Works on Carlisle Street, Sheffield. The marking “Wilson, Hawksworth, Ellison & Co.” was still their registered trademark in 1953. This company manufactured “Bowie” type knives, among other kinds of cutlery.
