Founded in Toledo, Ohio by A.M. Woolson. In 1897, they were sold to the American Sugar Company, and in 1917 it was purchased by Toledo locals. In 1966, they were sold to a firm in Cincinnati. Most of the knives were of the give-away type used for advertising or premiums.
