KnifeNews: Benchmade Successor Slipjoint Slides onto Shelves

Two of the most intriguing 2025 models Benchmade teased in January were a flipper knife, now known as the Lowden, and a slipjoint – visible only as a digital image at the time, but now on shelves with its official name, the Successor.

The Successor, like its closet relation in the Benchmade family, the Proper, takes the modern approach to slipjoint design, from construction to looks to materials. While early information indicated a blade made from MagnaCut, the final production run uses M390 instead for its 2.56-inch blade. Not as new as MagnaCut, but a reliable performer and a great choice for the daily driver-type uses the Successor seems destined for.

We have mentioned this one before, from a different outlet. Nice knife if you like modern slipjoints.
