Victorinox is making a bold, modern push with the new Alox Refined Collection. This series, consisting of three models, features not only a brand new look, but some modern features that are not common in the Victorinox catalog.
As with most Victorinox models, the differences between the Refined Collection knives – the OneFold, Synergy, and Synergy X – comes down to what tools they each contain; but the defining features, the elements that make the Refined collection refined, are present on the whole family, as is the presence of aluminum oxide, or Alox, scales – one of the signature materials in the Victorinox lineup.
It has been a theme for several years running – Victorinox has become stale and hasn’t put out anything truly interesting in a while.
So I thought of Jon Gadget’s interview with Victorinox CEO Carl Elsener.
This knife indeed seems fresh. I would like to check one out, and see how it feels with a pocket clip.
