Making Known the Unknowns – Case Fixed Blade Patterns Revealed

I have chased Case fixed blades for twenty-six years, and have caught my fair share. One of the things which captured my imagination early on was the large number of variations available. But nearly as fascinating to me was that the pattern numbers for most of those variations were known. Contrast this with KaBar fixed blades, for example, where there is almost no published information. For some reason, numbers easily stick in my head and I think those pattern numbers satisfied something deeply embedded in my brain.
