Sorry I haven’t posted a second daily Round up. I knew I wouldn’t be Wednesday night, as I went out with friends for my Birthday. But I did manage to get a few instagram posts out. This was the most significant.

H. Clay Aalders is a lifelong edged tool user. He spent the past 20 years as a woodworker and fishing guide in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Tennessee.     1. “Buick” . . . solid car. I liked to say “BU-ICK” as a kid. “Oldsmobile” . . . My folks had a ’55 Olds that I drove a couple of times. It must have weighed three thousand pounds! Heck, the chrome bumper was at least 500 pounds. My Mom hated that car . . . she stood 5′ 2″ and weighed 100 lbs soaking wet! One time, my Dad and me used the car to push a stump out of the ground. “Le Sabre” . . . Nice, CMEAT!

    2. Exactly! 15 of us went on a Salmon fishing trip one summer, we all rode taking the long way from the interior of B.C. to the Sunshine Coast, then down to catch a ferry to Vancouver Island. Every MC had that same problem in every town!

      The first stop at a pub 3 hours from my place set the tone, a friend got off his Goldwing in front of the bar and forgot to put the kickstand on…………., one other thing he forgot was his wife perched on that huge back seat that bike has.

      The bike was fine, the wife was pissed, on the ferry we noticed one Harley’s rear wheel was down to the cord, landing in Nanaimo we headed full speed for a service station. The friend with the bad tire was looking around for a tire shop instead of watching the buke in front of him, he dynamited the front brake. I watched in slow motion as his bike went down and bounced twice about 3 feet high each time. A lot of bikers in this town, so the gals in a truck behind us caught what was happening and blocked from the frenzy of traffic behind us.

      No damage to my friend, his bike had crash bars which is why it bounced so high, he narrowly missed the center cement barrier between our lane and opposing traffic. A new tire and off we rode to the fishing grounds in Port Hardy. Other than a bunch of speeding tix on the way back the return was uneventful! Have a great weekend CMEAT!
