Hey everybody, I hope that when/wherever you are reading this you are safe, warm, and comfortable. The storm that is hitting the eastern United States is one of the few national news items that pierced the bubble of the show. By wednesday, people were asking “When are you getting out?” and “Are you going to make it home before the storm?”
Well, I did fairly easily, arriving home in Knoxville in the early evening. I took it easy yesterday, took a couple of naps, and did a lot of stretching. I actually feel pretty good overall, which is a nice development. I didn’t eat a ton, but took reasonably good care of myself.
Professionally, I absolutely killed it. Mark wasn’t able to make it, so I was flying solo. But I hit pretty much everyone that I wanted to hit, and made up for mistakes and omissions last year.
Which leads me to the next few weeks….
First, the March issue goes to press at the end of this week. That means that after the Benchmade post today, there will be a bit of a short lull as I get my Knife News column written. Once I am done with that midweek, I will start posting more SHOT related content.
I will also be working on our giant SHOT Show Review/New for 2026 issue. I will do my best to keep up with the newsfeed, and I will also post SHOT Show Booth visit posts for companies we won’t be able to include in the issue (and probably some that we will as well).
So please bear with me as I get through this glut of material. Lacrosse also starts up next week, so I am doubly busy. But I am excited to share about the show, I just need to be smart in budgeting my time.
Have a great Sunday everyone.
