This firm was located in a small two-story building in the town of Macon, Missouri. The founder was Frederick Wilhelm Blees, a native of Germany. W. Gieselmann was the treasurer and factory manager, and Dr. Ed. B. Clements, E. McKee, S.L. Brock, and Eli Bailey were members of the board. The company manufactured the “Bailey Patent Improved Adjustable Tension Shear.” They later added another building, and employed 40 workers and three traveling salesmen. Mr. Blees died in 1906 His wife then ran the factory, and it was probably closed soon after she died in 1913.
