This company was the result of the merger between Joseph Rodgers & Son and George Wostenholm, both of Sheffield, England. In 1971 the firm became Rodgers-Wostenholm. They were bought by Richards Brothers of Sheffield in 1975.
In 1977, Richards was bought by the Imperial Knife Company. Meteor Industries purchased the Sheffield firms in 1982, and the names have been used by the Egginton Group from 1986 to the present.
