Mention the name Brian Tighe at any knife gathering and two things will likely happen. First will be instant recognition, as everyone seems aware of Brian’s signature knives. They truly are some of the finest tactical folding knives found in our knifemaking world. The second thing that occurs, along with a chuckle, is a discussion about those cool names each model has, based around the pronunciation of Brian’s last name [“tie”]. “Buy Tighe” is one example, ultimately my favorite, others include “Tighe Rod”, Tighe Rade”, so many more! The Buy Tighe knife was awarded “Most Innovative Design” at the 2012 Blade Show.
