A.G. Russell Skinny Brute

A.G. Russell designed the Brute in the 1970s. With handmade knifemaker W.C. (Bill) Davis, they perfected A.G.’s idea that with new handle materials available at that time, a knife could be made to be strong enough without having metal liners. This allowed for both a thinner and lighter weight knife. 

The Brute was made on and off again over the decades up through the 1990s, and was one of A.G.’s more popular knife designs. After numerous requests, we have decided to make it once again, this time with a handle that is just a bit skinnier than the original. 

The CPM-S35VN blade is a 3-1/4” drop point at 60-61 Rc. with a satin finish. Closed, the lockback measures 4-1/8” long with a “skinny handle”, measuring just over ½” at the thickest swell in the middle. There is no pocket clip. It is available in Green G-10 and Carbon Fiber at $99 and $135 respectively.

A.G. Russell Power Ball C2

The A.G. Russell Power Ball C2 is an EDC knife designed for the person who needs something easy and slim to keep in the pocket, but big enough to do work when needed. The 3-3/8” D2 drop point blade has a stonewash finish and is full flat ground for great slicing. The detent, flipper, and ball bearing pivot are finely tuned so the C2 blade will deploy quickly. The deep pocket clip is reversible for a right or left hand tip-up carry. The steel liners inside are skeletonized to reduce weight, bringing the knife to 3.7 oz. It has two color choices of a Black G-10 with a blue pivot accent ring, or Green G-10 with an orange pivot accent ring. $67.95
